Brief

To support the development of the new National Treatment Centre in Inverness, a purpose-built facility offering specialist ophthalmology and orthopaedic services, hermetically sealed entrances were required to meet strict hygiene and infection control standards.

Solution

Record installed 17 x CLEAN K1-A Hermetic Sealing Single Sliding Doors, specifically engineered for medical environments requiring airtight separation.

These hospital-grade hermetic doors were fitted across five operating theatres and multiple consultation rooms, creating a secure seal that prevents the transmission of airborne bacteria and particles.

The doors are designed to support infection control protocols, reduce cross-contamination risks, and maintain controlled airflow within sterile zones. In addition, the doors were customised to complement the architectural style of the centre, blending hygiene with aesthetics.
