Record, part of the ASSA ABLOY Group is one of the major companies within the automatic pedestrian door systems industry. The group manufactures and distributes door systems to over 40 countries worldwide. We design, manufacture, supply, install and service the UK’s most comprehensive range of automated door systems and aluminium shop-fronts in our production facility outside Glasgow to a wide range of organisations and Customers throughout the UK.
Due to continued growth and increasing demand for our services, we are now seeking a suitable candidate to join our Production team, based at our Head Office in Blantyre.
Job Description
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Fabricator to join our team based in our factory in Blantyre.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of senior architectural door systems, as well as Record UK aluminium systems (full training will be provided).
Key duties include product assembly, ensuring quality standards are met in line with drawings and customer specifications, and completing orders to achieve on-time delivery in full (OTIF). You will identify and resolve production or quality issues, minimise waste, and ensure materials are handled and used correctly.
The role also involves maintaining high personal performance standards, adhering to company processes and Health & Safety requirements, and ensuring the workspace meets 5S standards (clean, organised, and controlled).
Additional responsibilities include offloading bulk materials, safely storing them, and operating forklift trucks where required (training provided).
You must comply with all legal, environmental, and duty of care responsibilities, and be willing to undertake additional tasks as directed by management.

- Awareness and understanding of Health & Safety practices
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training (e.g. aluminium systems, forklift operation)

- Forklift licence or previous operating experience
