Installation Engineer - Dewsbury
Record, part of the ASSA ABLOY Group is one of the major companies within the automatic pedestrian door systems industry. The group manufactures and distributes door systems to over 40 countries worldwide. We design, manufacture, supply, install and service the UK’s most comprehensive range of automated door systems and aluminium shop-fronts in our production facility outside Glasgow to a wide range of organisations and Customers throughout the UK.

What will you be responsible for?
- Installation and On-Site Work
- Install automatic door systems and aluminium shopfronts at customer premises and active construction sites
- Work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality installations
- Carry out work safely, efficiently, and in line with industry standards and regulations
- Planning, Coordination, and Communication
- Liaise daily with the Project Manager and Installation Planner to schedule work and ensure timely project completion
- Complete and submit all required paperwork accurately and promptly
- Travel from the nearest hub to sites across the surrounding areas, with occasional weekend working as required
- Compliance and Quality
- Contribute to ISO Business Management systems
- Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, including BS7036 / EN16005
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times
What Are We Looking For?
- 3 years + experience installing automatic doors and aluminium shopfronts
- Full UK driving licence
- BS7036 / EN16005 registered
- Valid CSCS card
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Willingness to carry out night work as required by customers
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Enhanced DBS check (to be carried out)
What Will Set You Apart?
- Previous experience working on Record products
- Proven experience working on live construction sites
- NVQ in Specialist Occupations (e.g. Door, Gate, and Shutters) – preferred but not essential
- A flexible and proactive approach to work, including travel and varied working hours
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to delivering high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
