What would you do as our General Manager?
You will also:
- Own end-to-end site operations, including production scheduling, inventory, labor planning, and equipment reliability
- Ensure a high-quality customer experience through responsive operational execution and partnership
- Lead and actively participate in inside sales efforts, including customer follow-ups, pipeline visibility, and converting opportunities into orders
- Maintain regular external presence with customers, contractors, and partners to promote the Ceco brand and drive revenue growth
- Drive operational excellence through Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor and optimize performance metrics (output, efficiency, downtime, quality, cost) to improve productivity and profitability
- Align demand with execution by overseeing order entry, customer service, production planning, and forecasting
- Deliver consistent results across safety, quality, delivery, and cost with a strong focus on operational discipline
- Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing leadership team in partnership with HR
- Build a culture of safety, accountability, and engagement, with visible leadership across all shifts
- Develop workforce strategy, including retention, succession planning, and capability building
- Partner cross-functionally and with Door Group leadership to align operations with broader business priorities
- Support commercial growth and market expansion across millwork, contractors, and OEMs
- Identify and scale growth opportunities through operational improvements, process optimization, and customer alignment
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate policies, AADG programs, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
The Skills and Experience You would Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
- Proven senior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (metal fabrication/forming highly preferred)
- Customer-facing experience with the ability to translate customer needs into operational execution and business growth
- Strong background in end-to-end plant operations, including production planning, quality, cost control, and continuous improvement
- Solid financial acumen, including full P&L ownership, budgeting, and performance management
- Demonstrated experience driving Lean transformation and operational discipline at scale
- Experience building, developing, and leading high-performing teams, with a hands-on, floor-visible leadership style
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage metrics, forecasting, and reporting to drive performance
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a bias for action and execution
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience supporting business growth through operational scaling, capacity expansion, or process optimization
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency for data-driven operational analysis, reporting, and executive presentations, leveraging ERP, BI systems and AI
