What you would do as our Group Accounting & Process Excellence Specialist
The Group Accounting & Process Excellence Specialist (MidLevel) plays a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely group financial reporting while contributing to the continuous improvement of global accounting processes. This position combines solid technical accounting expertise with a strong processoriented mindset, supporting the development and harmonization of bestpractice workflows across the finance organization. Working closely with senior specialists, regional finance teams, Shared Service Centers, and crossfunctional stakeholders, the midlevel specialist takes ownership of defined reporting areas, supports complex accounting topics, and actively drives process improvements. This role is ideal for professionals who have built a strong foundation in accounting or audit and are ready to take on broader responsibilities in a global environment.
You would also:
- Prepare and review components of monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements in accordance with IFRS and take ownership of specific consolidation areas, including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and reporting validations.
- Perform detailed variance analyses and provide meaningful insights to senior team members and management, support the preparation of disclosures, notes, and reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders and assist in resolving complex accounting issues in collaboration with senior specialists.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of group accounting policies and guidelines, support the design and enhancement of internal controls over financial reporting and coordinate audit activities for assigned areas, ensuring high-quality documentation and timely responses.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and standardization across accounting and reporting processes, lead smaller process improvement initiatives and contribute to larger transformation projects and support automation efforts, including system enhancements, workflow redesign, and data quality improvements.
- Act as a point of contact for regional finance teams and Shared Service Centers for assigned accounting topics, provide guidance and support to junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing activities and collaborate with IT, FP&A, Tax, and other functions to ensure alignment of financial data flows and reporting requirements.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
- Has degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and has 3–6 years of experience in accounting, audit, consolidation, or financial reporting.
- Has solid understanding of IFRS and internal control frameworks and experience with ERP and consolidation systems (OneStream, HFM).
- Has strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail, demonstrated interest in process improvement, automation, and digital tools.
- Has strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with international stakeholders.
- Has proactive, structured, and able to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
