Demand Planner

Job Summary

This primary role is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts to support inventory planning, replenishment, and overall supply chain efficiency. Key driver in creating and managing consumer demand signals to align supply chain and company resources. Tasked with using data insights to improve forecast accuracy. Hands-on worker who will drive the creation of a demand forecast and work with other functional teams to develop a consensus plan for hand-off to the Supply Planning team.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • 30% Analysis
  • Develop and maintain statistical and judgment-based demand forecasts at SKU / category / channel level
  • Analyze historical sales, POS, seasonality, promotions, and market trends
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvements
  • Evaluate impact of promotions, new product launches, and lifecycle changes
  • Identify demand risks and opportunities (stockouts, overstock, slow movers)
  • 30% Influence/Collaborate/Communicate
    • Work with business unit leadership to generate a consensus demand plan
    • Assist in development of annual plans and reconcile them with demand plans. Communicate any gaps between the plans
    • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Merchandising to incorporate business insights
    • Presenting information in oral and written form to internal customers
  • 20% Reporting
    • Track KPIs such as forecast accuracy, bias, and service levels
    • Running Reports utilizing Excel / Publishing Reports
    • Investigating any results that are off target and consulting with others to wire up analysis before publishing
  • 10% Process Improvement
    • Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
  • 10% Other/As Needed

 

Education and Experience Profile

  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain required
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering/ Operations/ Supply Chain Management/Mathematics or equivalent experience required.
  • APICS Membership and Participation encouraged
  • Certified CPIM, CFPIM, or CSCP desired

 

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with forecasting tools / ERP systems (QAD, Power BI, SAP, and JDA preferred)
  • Strong analytical abilities and advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot charts, VLOOKUP and experience with very large data sets.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong mathematical / statistical abilities

 

Pay Range: $65,726-$103,283.

 

This “base salary range” is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location. ASSA ABLOY conducts regular review of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time. 

 

Work Environment:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
