The expansion of ASSA ABLOY led to the company moving its headquarters to a more spacious location in Victoria. In this new setting, the use of manual doors in the central kitchen area, which is directly connected to adjacent offices, raised concerns about the possible spread of illnesses. Considering the high frequency of use by the entire staff throughout the day, it was determined that a touch-free automated solution was necessary for the door.
The project, finalised in February 2024, entailed the selection of the Record STA Adaptive Operator for its advanced access technology and efficiency. This choice addressed the necessity for a hygienic and user-friendly entry system. By integrating waveless switches and internal infrared sensors, the system eradicates the necessity for physical contact with the door enhancing ease of use and minimising the risk of illness transmission.
The successful deployment of the touch-free solution not only advocates for hygiene but also enhances accessibility for all employees, promoting a safer and more efficient workplace environment.
