The Sustainability Technician will have the responsibility to control and monitor all day-to-day activities and legal requirements to ensure that sustainability policy from Assa Abloy is in place.

 

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Coordinate with the plant managers the sustainability activities according to system procedures based on standard ISO 14.001.
  • Ensure the compliance with sustainability regulations, be aware of the new legislation applicable to the company and stablish action plans in case of adaptation to new requirements.
  • Collaborate with the authorities in providing all documentation and information related to sustainability legal requirements.
  • Define the yearly sustainability management plan and projects to achieve the company objectives of environmental impact reduction.
  • Manage the sustainability KPI and provide monthly report to the Quality and sustainability manager.
  • Perform sustainability audits to verify that all sustainability activities are executed in all the plants of the company, and define corrective actions in case of non-conformities.
  • Any other additional function necessary in direct relation to the job itself.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

 

Academy requirement

  • Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering.

Languages:

  • Fluent in Portuguese and English.
  • Able to communicate in Spanish, verbal and writing.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years experience.

Personal Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Decision making attitude.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Good sensitivity and concern for the sustainability issues.
  • Ability to work as a team.
