Record USA is proud to announce that we have been recognized with two safety awards by the North Carolina Department of Labor. These honors were presented during the annual Safety Awards ceremony held on June 5 at the Union County Agricultural & Event Complex, celebrating excellence in workplace safety across the region.
The event, co-hosted by North Carolina Labor Commissioner Luke Farley and the Union County Chamber, brought together local employers and employees who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to creating safe and healthy work environments. In his keynote address, Commissioner Farley emphasized the importance of shared responsibility in workplace safety, stating, “It’s a privilege to recognize businesses that don’t just talk about safety — they lead by example, day in and day out.”
Record USA received two awards:
Special Recognition for One Million Hours Without Lost-Time Injuries or Illnesses
This milestone, achieved between March 8, 2017, and January 1, 2025, reflects the dedication and vigilance of our entire team in maintaining a safe workplace.
First Year Silver Award
This award recognizes our outstanding safety and health efforts in 2024, resulting in a substantial reduction in injuries and illnesses. Silver Awards are presented to companies with incident rates at least 50% below the industry average.
Rich Witterstaetter, Director of Manufacturing, shared his thoughts on the achievement: “Our manufacturing facility has proudly achieved over 1,000,000 hours worked without a lost time accident. This is a testament to our unwavering commitment to safety. This milestone reflects the dedication, vigilance, and teamwork of every employee who makes safety a top priority every single day. Our safety culture isn’t just a policy — it’s a shared value that drives our operations and protects what matters most: our people.”
