Payroll Analyst
Amarr – a part of ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in opening solutions - is hiring for a Payroll Analyst to work with our finance team in our Winston-Salem, NC corporate office. This position is responsible for processing weekly and biweekly payrolls, ensuring all payroll deadlines are met, in addition to providing customer support to employees and managers at all locations regarding payroll matters.
Essential Functions:
- Collect time and pay information from Time & Attendance system and process weekly and/or bi-weekly multi-state and/or international payrolls.
- Maintain and verify employee data in HR/Payroll system (ADP Enterprise) to ensure data integrity and proper payment to employees.
- Analyze and reconcile payroll data during processing including but not limited to hours, rates of pay, benefit deductions, tax withholding, etc.
- Communicate with managers and HR when necessary to ensure accuracy of employee payments.
- Ensure that all deadlines are met for payroll processing, tax filing, employee notices, etc.
- Calculate and process adjustments to pay (i.e., final pay calculations, retro pay, wage adjustments, etc.).
- Process termination paperwork including system changes, notifications to external 3rd parties, in addition to interdepartmental notifications.
- Process employee liens, garnishments, and child support orders. This includes but is not limited to working with agencies, courts, and/or attorneys, notification to employees, completing and filing answers, entry into the HR/PR system, communicating with Wage Garnishment Service when necessary, and verification of proper withholding.
Qualifications of Job:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting –or- equivalent experience.
- One year of payroll experience using automated payroll system required. 3-5 years of experience preferred.
- International payroll experience preferred.
The Details:
The hybrid schedule is Monday - Thursday from 7:30am - 5:30pm and Fridays 7:30am – 11:30am. Occasionally there will be the need to work on holidays, and sometimes there will be overtime.
