Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG), which manages a diverse portfolio of hotel and club venues across Greater Victoria on behalf of Melbourne Racing Club, was tasked with meeting new gaming authority compliance standards at 8 of their locations.
Their primary objective was to enhance the security of gaming room entries, ensuring they were childproof while seamlessly integrating with the existing architectural aesthetics of each venue without compromising the overall guest experience.
The challenge involved installing doors that would serve as physical barriers to prevent unauthorised access by children while preserving the venues’ functional and visual integrity.
To meet these requirements, Pegasus Leisure Group collaborated with ASSA ABLOY and Record Automatic Doors, seeking a solution that was reliable, efficient, and fully compliant with the latest standards.
A total of 14 doors were installed across 8 venues.
These doors operate with a ‘Push to Enter/Exit’ mechanism, ensuring controlled access and adherence to the new compliance requirements. Some doors were custom-fitted to align seamlessly with the venue’s architecture and design elements, showcasing the flexibility and adaptability of the solution.
The project, completed between late 2023 and early 2024, utilised products from both Record and ASSA ABLOY brands. The longstanding partnership between Pegasus Leisure Group and ASSA ABLOY, reinforced by previous successful collaborations, was pivotal to the smooth and successful execution of this project.
