Warehouse Clerk

 

The Warehouse Clerk plays a vital role in supporting daily warehouse operations and ensuring materials are organized, accurate, and ready for use. This position works closely with the Warehouse Manager to help maintain an efficient, safe, and well-run warehouse. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and has familiarity with garage door components such as panels, springs, tracks, and openers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts and materials for accuracy and quality.
  • Accurately pick, stage, and prepare orders for installation teams and service technicians.
  • Stage doors and materials for upcoming jobs based on daily schedules.
  • Assist with regular inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and staging areas.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment (certification preferred).
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.

 

 Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous warehouse or material-handling experience preferred; experience with garage door products is a plus.
  • Familiarity with residential garage door parts and terminology (springs, panels, rollers, tracks, etc.) preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with warehouse staff, installers, and technicians.

 

Working Conditions:

  •  Warehouse environment with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions during loading and unloading.
  • Physically demanding role requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
