Service Engineer
Position: Service/Installation Engineer
Department: Operations
Reporting to: Stephen Higgs (Service Manager)
Hours: 08.00 -17.00 Monday to Friday
Location: Field Based (LONDON)
Scope:
Installation- The Installation/Service Engineer is responsible for the Installation/Servicing of Biosite equipment in the field
Service – The Service Engineer is responsible for the servicing and maintenance of equipment in the field
Key Responsibilities:
Installation –
- Attendance and completion of Installation Visits
- Installation of Access Control, Wireless Fire Alarm and CCTV systems
- Commissioning of Installations to include Walk Tests of CCTV systems and Technical sign offs with Technical Support
- Managing own van stock and ordering replacement stock with Stores Team
- Maintaining exemplary standards to build rapport with customers
- Adherence to Health and Safety and Environmental Regulations
- Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated
- Liaising with other Trades on Site to ensure Installations are completed
Service -
- Attendance and completion of Service Call Outs
- Basic trouble shooting, maintenance and repair on designated equipment
- Completion of preventative maintenance such as health checks
- Managing own van stock and ordering replacement stock with Service Supervisor
- Maintaining exemplary standards to build rapport with customers
- Adherence to Health and Safety and Environmental Regulations
- Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated
Knowledge and Expertise:
- Strong construction industry knowledge preferable
- Computer literacy and understanding of PC hardware
- A good understanding of electrical equipment
- A good understanding of networking and routing
- Valid CSCS Card is essential
- Experience of engaging with customers in a pressured environment is preferable
- Valid Driver's Licence is essential
