Warehouse Supervisor

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and packing of completed door operators, with all scheduled deliveries carried out in a timely manner for all customers and in line with the daily schedule. You are also responsible for providing a safe working environment in the warehouse for all staff. This role requires effective communication with customers and sales personnel. Additionally, you must ensure the warehouse is always kept clean, organised, and orderly. 

 

Reporting to NZ Country Leader / National Sales and Specifications Manager, the role is responsible for: 

  • Maintain and increase the quality of factory production
  • Promote, increase, and maintain a positive and professional factory operation
  • Input new orders into the local database
  • Create purchase orders for automatic door parts and materials
  • Inform supervisor immediately of non-conformance with work schedule
  • Monitor and manage freight company deliveries and actively review freight costing on a quarterly basis
  • Ensure there is sufficient stock of build assemblies for production and spare parts
  • Follow all publicized safety policies/procedures i.e. SWMS 
  • Use as instructed, the appropriate PPE that has been identified on the Hazard Analysis for the department/role
  • Perform other duties as instructed by management

 

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role 
  • Attention to detail and quality control
  • Proficiency with several types of power, hydraulic and hand tools 
  • Use machinery in a safe manner paying attention to all hazards
  • Basic computer skills with an understanding of databases, as some data entry required
  • Basic knowledge of TSM/IFS advantageous
