This is an exciting opportunity for a proven sales leader who can develop high-performing teams, build strategic customer relationships and deliver strong commercial outcomes within the commercial construction and specification market
About the Role
Reporting to the National Sales Manager - Specification, you will be responsible for leading the regional specification business, delivering revenue growth, margin performance and pipeline development while ensuring forecasting accuracy and customer satisfaction. You will lead a team of Business Development and Specification professionals, creating a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, customer excellence and results.
As a key leader within the business, you will develop and execute regional sales strategies, strengthen relationships with customers and industry stakeholders, and ensure your team is positioned to win and retain business across major commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver regional revenue, margin and pipeline growth aligned with business objectives
- Develop and execute regional go-to-market and channel strategies
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities across priority market segments and customers
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, partners and industry stakeholders
- Drive early project engagement and specification opportunities to maximise market share and competitive advantage
- Lead, coach and develop a team of sales and specification professionals
- Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures across the region
- Maintain strong CRM discipline, forecasting accuracy and pipeline visibility
- Collaborate with Product, Technical, Operations and Customer Service teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes
- Support the adoption of new systems, technologies and capability-building initiatives
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven success in commercial sales, specification sales or the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of major commercial construction projects and specification processes
- Demonstrated experience managing revenue, profitability and pipeline performance
- A successful track record leading, coaching and developing high-performing teams
- Exceptional customer relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels
- The ability to present both commercial and technical solutions confidently and effectively
